Our Story

Jonathan and Cathy Wetmore are the owners of Round Valley Ranches, Inc., a farm management corporation. Jonathan established the company in 1976. Cathy joined him later on and they have worked together growing their business for more than 25 years.

The Wetmore’s decided to branch out into the winemaking side of the industry in the year 2000 and founded Grands Amis, Inc. They built their own small winemaking facility in Lockeford, CA, and in 2006 opened the very first tasting room on School Street in downtown Lodi. However, they eventually realized that they were simply farmers at heart and wanted to commit their time to that side of the business. This has also allowed them both to serve on numerous committees over the years. They remain committed to giving back to their community.

Aaron began working for Round Valley Ranches as a teenager in high school. It was very apparent from the beginning that he, like Jonathan (his uncle), was a natural born farmer. He continued to work closely with Jonathan even during his college years and became a full time employee with RVR upon his graduation. He is an integral part of the business and its future, as well as the Lodi winegrape community.

He graduated from Fresno State in 2013, majoring in Ag Business, and has since obtained a license to sell crop insurance, allowing RVR to offer this service to our clients. Aaron currently serves as a board member for the Lodi Winegrape Commission and is the Committee Chair of the Lodi Rules Committee.
